Five independent regional media outlets will be supported, by the international organization Internews, to improve their content and financial situation.

For two years, Nokta, TUK.md, Bas-TV, Studio-L Căușeni and Observatorul de Nord will benefit from intensive training and mentoring for improving their editorial management, business strategies and developing new types of content and, as well, will get financial support.

The five newsrooms, which became partners of the Supporting Expanded Newsroom Sustainability and Engagement (SENSE) project’s, were selected through a public contest in which 19 candidates applied. The selection committee members are professionals with extensive experience in journalism and media projects.

The SENSE project was launched in September 2021, and its key objective is to support the media partner to be able to produce better content, expand their local audience and deepen their relationship with it, increase their revenues to be more financially stable and more autonomous.
