REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS – Local market research consultant/expert

Internews in Moldova is looking for a market research consultant/expert with a good understanding of the Moldovan digital news environment. The consultant will analyze and frame the online news environment from an ad support perspective. The findings will be included in a research report. The expert will work closely with the Internews in Moldova team, under the guidance of Internews’ Ads for News (AFN) program.

Note: The methodology will be consulted and approved by Internews in Moldova. The market research should be ready by February 29, 2024.


  • Research digital advertising market, trends, and forecasted developments;
  • Conduct industry stakeholder interviews;
  • Review secondary data and literature;
  • Write the final research report in English (10-15 pages, plus appendices).

  • Professional understanding of the business environment for digital news media in Moldova;
  • Experience working as a professional journalist, media industry professional, or media academic;
  • Strong command of the English language;
  • Market research and analysis experience;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work systematically;
  • Well-developed writing skills (research report examples a plus).


  • An updated CV or resume highlighting experience and expertise, etc.;
